QUILT APPRAISALS
The organizing team of Quilts Kingston 2015 would like to bring Judy Lyons, a qualified quilt appraiser to the show. The cost of an appraisal is $60 for a written appraisal with photo and $25 for a verbal consultation. Please note: If you are having your quilt appraised for insurance purposes, a written report is required.
In order to make this service feasible we require at least ten written appraisal requests on both June 12th and 13th. If you are interested in having a quilt or quilts appraised please complete the form below and submit by the first meeting in May.
A ten dollar ($10) NON REFUNDABLE deposit is required (cheque to Quilts Kingston ) or cash for each quilt to be appraised. This deposit will be applied to the cost of your appraisal. Place in an envelope, seal and label for Claire Westendorp (Limestone). A receipt will be issued and an appointment will be made for you. It is not a problem if your quilt is hanging in the show.

Using Photographs on Your 'Sir John A, Eh' Challenge
and Your Anniversary Challenge
I know many people are having difficulty coming up with ideas for their Challenge pieces this year. Just a few minutes at a computer will solve your problems.
1. Find some pictures you wish to use in your quilt. For Sir John A pictures, Google Sir John A McDonald images and cartoons. There are hundreds to choose from. Either right click on the picture and save or use the snipping tool and save. (**please make sure the photos are in the public domain or plan to mention/provide website/blog link to the original artists to avoid any copyright issues)
2. Open the pictures you wish to print. Check the size and adjust if necessary.
3. Test print picture on paper.
4. Put Inkjet Fabric Sheet in your printer. In my printer it goes Fabric side down but you should check yours. Print.
Unfortunately, neither Stitch by Stitch nor Garden Thyme have the Inkjet Fabric Sheets in stock at the moment but Stitch by Stitch will order them for you and they can be here in a few days. If you need help, please give me a call after February 16th. I would be more than happy to help you print a few pictures. Mary and I are off to the sunny south until then.
